Course Description

Transform the learning experiences for your students with literacy difficulties, especially dyslexia by harnessing the potential of iPad technologies. This workshop focusses on making electronic adjustments to enable access and participation with printed text.

In this 5 hour workshop for teachers, you will learn:

* what literacy difficulties and dyslexia are and what barriers learners who have these differences face when trying to achieve syllabus outcomes in the classroom.

* to select the key strategies or adjustments needed to support a learner with literacy difficulties or dyslexia.

* to select the most appropriate accessibility features and applications of iPad technologies to use as differentiation or ‘electronic adjustments’.

* to design and implement a “workflow” which embeds the technological skills learned into typical syllabus content for implementation back in the classroom.
