Child and Adolescent Educational Psychologist

Lorraine is a Child and Adolescent Educational Psychologist and a Primary School Teacher who previously worked with the HSE within Early Intervention Services in County Cork. Lorraine’s private psychology practice, Education and Psychology, is based in Kilkenny City, Ireland.

Lorraine has ten years experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum, children with Specific Learning Difficulties (such as Dyslexia and Dyspraxia and Dyscalculia), General Learning Difficulties and children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. She has training in Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA), in the Assessment of Children’s Behavioural, Social, and Clinical Functioning, in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorders, in Supporting Professionals utilising TEACCH, in utilising Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS) and she has carried out training in the area of Play Therapy with The Children’s Therapy Centre. She is a certified ADOS-2 and Griffiths test administrator.

Lorraine aims to support the development of children and adolescent’s social, emotional, behavioural and academic development. She offers families and young people comprehensive psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions.
